Be sure to check these out in 2008!

Let’s face it the holidays are over and it seems we were so determined on shopping for the “perfect” gift that we almost forgot about the New Year. We should be optimistic to think that 2008 will be a great one. Don’t worry the New Year will be full of new and exciting attractions in Orlando. Here are some great upcoming attractions & events for 2008.

If you ever attended a public school in New York as I did in the 80’s one of many favorable field trips was the year I went to see The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus The Greatest Show on Earth. This show is spectacular with trapeze, clowns, animals, high wire and don’t forget the cotton candy! You’ll love this must see show for Families coming to Orlando in January 2008.

Who doesn’t enjoy going to a water park? A must see is the anticipated Sea World’s Aquatica. This amazing park will feature up close animal experiences combined with fun rides, sandy beaches and many underwater journeys. Definitely not your average water park, which is due to open spring of 2008.

With Disney’s year of a million dreams anything is possible. You can be at the right place at the right time and you may be surprised with an ice cream or win a night to sleep in the Cinderella castle! Disney’s new attractions include PlayHouse Disney Live coming February 08 with characters for the little ones from Disney channel’s Playhouse Disney. Block Party Bash is an interactive parade filled with popular Disney Pixar Characters. Join Mike Wazowski and Monsters Inc friends at the new Monsters Inc Laugh Floor where you will share laughs at this interactive attraction.

The Theme parks are not the only ones that feature many things to do in 08’. There are plenty of annual festivals and events that are good for culture enrichment. The Orlando Reparatory Theatre has many wonderful plays for the family to check out such as the upcoming Blue’s Clues Live! in March. To see what’s now playing check out http://www.orlandorep.com/

The Orlando Ballet will feature the enchanting “Fairy Tale Princes and Princesses” to share ballet experiences, which is part of a family series where you can interact, learn and also meet with the ballerinas.
