October is Halloween Orlando!

October by far is my favorite month of the year! Up north it's a month of beautiful color, textres, and surrounded with excitement and mystery. In the South however, it's hard to find that feeling of fal and change in the air. The good thing is there is something for everyone during this time of theyear: to explore and in some cases get scared out of upir wits. For those who enjoy a bit of fright close to home I've lined up the perfect places to go visit. I trew some not so scary things in as well for the little people and the scaredy-cats in your life.

Our adventure begins with the present and the future, both which you will find at Cassadega. Cassadega is a well known Spiritualist Camp right here in Florida. It's a quaint town that sits off I4 in Volusia County, which is locted north of Orlando. What sets this town apart from others is the fact that every resident is a medium of some kind. That's right spiritualism is the main industry, aside from new age bookstores, a hotel (which is haunted) and a post office. It was long after it was established as a spiritual camp, that the town was looked upon as a strange and feared place. Despite al rumors about Cassadena, there is nothing scary about the town. Cassadena is just known by ghost hunters as the biggest geometric vortexes in the country. It is a wonderful place to visit if you are interested in ghost and psychic phenomena.

For those who were longing for a more ghostly encounter then here is something that will make your spine tingle and hair stand up. There are many towns that will guide you through haunted places all ver Florida, but Greenwood cemetery takes you on a moonlight stroll through their cemetery. This cemetery was established in 1880 it is also the final resting place of many of Orlando's founding, historical families, including Joseph Bumby, Mayor Capt, James Parramore, Mayor Bob Carr and T.G. Lee, just to name a few. Greenwod Cemetery has limited tour dates, but they welcome you and your familyon a stroll with them on October 26, 2007.The stroll is FREE however donations are accepted to help maintain the facility. Call Don Price 407-246-2616.

If you are still in a need os a paranormal experience there is always the Downtown Orlando Investigative tour. Orlando Ghost tour is a two hour walking tour through the downtown area. This is your chance to explore this side of Orlando you never knew existed as the investigators seperate the facts from folklore and leave it for you to decide. They'l walk you to several locations, and you even get to venture inside, whenever possible. Along your journey they tell the storiesand history associated with each place that you visit. Orlando Ghost tours welcomes all type of photography and they highly encourage photographers to capture the essence of the moment . They only make one request however, if you manage to capture some sort of anomaly on film, that you share yourfind with them, so they may examine it. They conduct investigations all year long. For more info call 407-247-0452.

Ofcourse we have so much more here in Orlando, for all the small children we definately recomend Mickey's The Not So Scary Halloween Party. Join Mickey and his friends at the Magic Kingdom where there will be story telling, trick or treating and so much more. call 407-W-Disney.

Children can also got trick or treating at the great Sea World Park, the children get extra if they dress up! Sea World has unbelievable decorations trough out the park and trick or treating stands in every corner, for you to find. FREE CANDY!

For adults I really recomend the Halloween Horror Night at Universal Studios, this is my personal favorite! It is Orlando's and possibly the world's larges, most terrefying Halloween Celebration. This event might not be for the light hearted, but it is fun to drag them along. I will definitely see you there! For info vsit http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/

If this is not enough reason for you to come to Orlando then staying in a vacation home with a private pool will do it. You can do your own trick or treating in that neigborhood and enjoy the privacy of your pool after the party.

Don't you just love Florida!
